How It Works

Label production starts with defining your application—will these go on glass bottles, plastic containers, cardboard boxes, or something else? Surface material determines adhesive and label stock selection. Choose your material: paper labels for general use, BOPP (plastic film) for moisture resistance, vinyl for outdoor durability, or specialty stocks for specific requirements. Select your shape—standard rectangles, circles, ovals, or custom die-cut shapes. We print digitally for short runs or flexographically for high volumes, then die-cut, slit, and wind onto rolls or deliver as sheets. Rolls are wound for hand application or machine dispensing. We can add variable data (sequential numbers, barcodes, unique codes) to each label.

Why Choose MCI

Labels seem simple until you apply the wrong adhesive to a curved surface or use paper labels on a refrigerated product. We've solved labeling challenges for food producers, manufacturers, retailers, and distributors—learning which materials work for which applications. Our digital printing handles short runs economically while our flexo capability serves high-volume needs. We stock common materials for fast turnaround and can source specialty stocks for unique requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

What label material should I use?
Paper labels work for dry, room-temperature applications. BOPP (oriented polypropylene) handles moisture and refrigeration. Vinyl withstands outdoor exposure and harsh conditions. For food products, we use FDA-compliant materials. Tell us about your application and we'll recommend the right material.
Can labels be waterproof?
Yes. BOPP film labels with appropriate adhesive and lamination are waterproof—commonly used for beverages, bath products, and outdoor applications. The adhesive matters as much as the material; we select adhesives that maintain bond strength when wet.
What is the difference between roll and sheet labels?
Roll labels are wound on cores for hand dispensing or automatic application machines—efficient for high volumes. Sheet labels come on 8.5" x 11" or similar sheets for desktop printing or hand application—better for small quantities or when you need to print variable information yourself.
Can you print variable data on labels?
Yes. We can print sequential numbers, unique barcodes, QR codes, or any data that varies by label. Variable data is common for inventory tracking, promotional codes, and serialized products. Provide your data in a spreadsheet and we'll merge it during printing.
